Assisting Rural Revitalization, Helenbergh Won the Hongmian Gold Cup Award of Poverty Alleviation in Guangdong

On June 30, 2021, the activity of “A Day of Poverty Alleviation in Guangdong” was held in Guangzhou. After the donation of 30 million yuan last year, Guangdong Helenbergh Philanthropic Foundation made another donation of 20 million yuan this year, consolidating achievements of poverty alleviation and contributing comprehensive efforts in rural revitalization in Guangdong with practical action.

In the activity, Ye Zhenqin, the Member of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, announced the units and individuals winning the 2020 Hongmian Gold Cup Award of Poverty Alleviation in Guangdong, and offered them compliment. Relying on the outstanding contribution to poverty alleviation in Guangdong in 2020, Guangdong Helenbergh Philanthropic Foundation was awarded the “Hongmian Gold Cup Award of Poverty Alleviation in Guangdong”.

In the following donation ceremony, Guangdong Helenbergh Philanthropic Foundation donated 20 million yuan. Ye Zhenqin, the Member of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, accepted Helenbergh’s donation as the representative, and offered fully recognition to the contribution of Guangdong Helenbergh Philanthropic Foundation in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

Flourish with Love

Guangdong Helenbergh Philanthropic Foundation was established by Huang Zhiheng, the Chairman of Helenbergh China Holdings Limited. It took the purpose of “establishing schools, alleviating poverty, helping the elderly and the disabled, and relieving disaster”, adhered to the working concept of “diligent with love”, and implemented four charity projects nationwide including Helenbergh Education, Helenbergh Support, Helenbergh Action, and Helenbergh Kindness.

“Helenbergh Education” focused on assisting education, helping poor students in an all-around way with multiple measures, so that they could complete their learning from primary school to college. As of the end of 2020, Helenbergh has funded more than 200 schools and helping over 4000 excellent students. It is now assisting more than 3000 students with the fund of 20 million yuan annually.

“Helenbergh Support” focused on rural revitalization. In Jinggangshan, the old revolutionary base areas, Helenbergh is developing and expanding the local bee-keeping industry, trying to achieving unprecedented pace of development; on the other hand, Helenbergh established local education caring fund, helping poor students according to the standard of 500 yuan per person every month. Up to now, the caring fund has helped 109 poor students in Jinggangshan to assist them to realize the school dream.

“Helenbergh Action” focused on helping the elderly. For the past 20 years, Helenbergh caring fund regularly organized charity ambassadors (Helenbergh’s staff) to visit the elderly in charity houses, helping them to solve daily difficulties in forms of accompany in weekends, and caring on holidays. The ambassadors provided companion in their twilight years, helping them to feel love and warmth, as well as the caring from society.

“Helenbergh Kindness” focused on natural disaster rescue. From Southeast Asian tsunami in 2004, and Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, from Yushu Qinghai earthquake in 2010 to the COVID-19 epidemic in 2020, Helenbergh has been timely taking social responsibilities facing major disasters, providing support and help to the people in need with practical actions.

In the latest Guangdong epidemic outbreak, Helenbergh actively participated in epidemic prevention work.
