For every dedicated honey producer,

Their dedication is the strongest proof of a better life.

In Jinggangshan, an old revolutionary base in Shanxi Province,

Helenbergh takes traditional apiculture as the foundation,

Scales up and strengthens the honey industry,

And build it into a sector of sound growth.

Over the past four years,

Local honey cooperatives have transformed into companies.

Individual farmers have formed into groups.

A lasting work team for rural revitalization has taken shape.

A journey of exploration in Jinggang Mountains

Trace the origin of honey production

From Dozens to Hundreds of Bee Farmers

To solve the problems of individual production, small scale, low yield and lack of sales channels,

Helenbergh adopted scattered beekeeping and unified honey collection and output management.

Above-market price for raw honey stimulates beekeepers’ passion.

The model has been advertised across Jinggangshan,

As well as counties like Suichuan and Yongxin in Ji’an and even Yanling and Chaling in Hunan.

Honey output has jumped from 7,500 kg in 2018 to 50,000 kg in 2021.

An annual growth as high as 166.6%.

More than 300 households are keeping 15,000-plus boxes of bees.

Of the 300, over 30 households are keeping above 100 boxes of bees.

From Cooperatives to Industrial Parks

In 2018, Helenbergh cashed in 3 million yuan,

And Helenbergh Beekeeping Specialized Cooperative came into being.

Within 50 days,

We completed the entire process from sketch design, and equipment arrival to the first yield.

The operation model of “company+cooperative+village collective+farmer”is up and running.

Farmer income has eventually soared.

In 2020, Helenbergh established Shiye Shanmi Development Co., Ltd.

An investment of 6 million yuan was made to  develop a food industrial park.

It also serves as an all-in-one modern production base integrating R&D, production and training.

From Experience-based to Science-based

For better honey quality,

Helenbergh channeled more resources into R&D.

It cooperated with universities and research institutes,

Including Nanchang University, Jiangxi Agricultural University, and Jaingxi Research Institute of Beekeeping.

A long-term partnership was forged.

Helenbergh set a strict standard for honey quality.

Its compulsory inspection system bears no tolerance for drug residue.

Other indicators are also required higher than market standards,

Such as CFU, furfural and trace elements.

Brand Building from Scratch

Helenbergh has polished its honey brand over the past four years via advanced technologies.

Value added of products is improved to transform and upgrade the brand.

An array of honey products have been developed.

Brands like Shiye Shanmi and Jinggang Honey are established.

Consequently, benefits for both Helenbergh and beekeepers are maximized and sustained.

In 2019, Helenbergh won Quality Prize in Jiangxi Medium-sized Bee Honey Contest.

In 2020, Helenbergh’s beekeeping farm was nominated as the “Four-star Demonstration Bee Farm in Jiangxi Province”.

In 2021, Helenbergh won another Excellence Prize in Jiangxi Honey Quality Contest.

 In the same year,

Helebergh was approved to cooperate with the Apicultural Science Association of China to build a Demonstration Apicultural City in China.

From Initial Buds to Deep Roots

Today,

Helenbergh has prospered the entire industrial chain of production, processing and sales.

It also eyes the food processing and rural tourism in Jinggangshan.

It makes relentless efforts to boost the integrated and green development of beekeeping.

Collaboration with Jinggangshan tourism is one of these efforts.

Helenbergh gives full play to the favorable ecology in Pulong Village of Dongshang Township,

Where it built Miyuan Botanical Garden, an apicultural popularization park and honey collecting experience park.

These industrial parks integrate amusement, experience, scientific literacy and research.

They together formulate an Apicultural Valley in Jinggang.

It goes a long way with the integrated development of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries in beekeeping.

Forging ahead with its original aspiration in mind,

Helenbergh will stick to charity development in tandem with corporate growth.

It stands out as a responsible business in the new era,

As it invests in the honey industry in Jinggangshan.

Such efforts will contribute more to the common prosperity in Jinggangshan,

The once great revolutionary based in China.
