Helenbergh Named “Private Enterprise with Major Contribution to Guangzhou’s Efforts in the War Against COVID-19”

At Guangzhou Private Enterprise Conference 2020 & Launching Ceremony of the "Private Enterprise Service Week" held on November 2, the United Front Work Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, Guangzhou Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau and Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce honored a slew of excellent private enterprises and business associations in their fight against COVID-19 pandemic, with a view to boosting morale and fostering healthy social trends.

Helenbergh was awarded the title of "Private Enterprise with Major Contribution to Guangzhou’s Efforts in the War Against COVID-19" for its outstanding performance in the fight against the pandemic that broke out early this year.

According to our knowledge, a total of 100 excellent private enterprises and business associations were honored at the Conference, including 80 excellent private enterprises (10 with crucial contributions, 20 with major contributions and 50 with outstanding contributions) and 20 excellent business associations.

Since the COVID-19 broke out early this year, China has gathered countless supplies and funds donated from the great Chinese people to take all-out efforts to contain the virus. In the on-going battle against the severe pandemic, Helenbergh shared weal and woe with the city and its people by taking active actions to demonstrate its mission and commitment in fulfilling the corporate social responsibility.

Respond to the Call of the Government to Actively Support the Fight Against the Pandemic

At the early stage of the pandemic, Helenbergh immediately responded to the government's call to actively support the fight against the pandemic by donating funds and supplies.

On January 26, Helenbergh donated 5 million yuan to Wuhan Charity Federation to support the national efforts for containment of COVID-19 in Wuhan.

On Feb. 5, Helenbergh, through speedy coordination with various parties, outsourced 276,560 surgical masks, N95 masks and 40,000 pairs of surgical gloves (equivalent to a total value of 470,000 yuan), and donated them (through Hubei Charity Federation) to Union Hospital affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Ninth Hospital of Wuhan, Gedian Institutes of Health in Ezhou City of Hubei, and Jingzhou District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jingzhou City of Hubei.

Since the beginning of the people’s war against the pandemic, Helenbergh actively mobilized various resources and forces from all walks of life to provide supplies needed for frontline anti-pandemic workers.

On Feb. 14, Helenbergh launched a nationwide program entitled "Protect Our City and Bring Hope to Our People - Salute to Frontline Workers". Branch companies in 22 cities across the country have formed volunteer teams to hand out donations and supplies like disinfection alcohol, disinfection hand sanitizer, masks, meal replacements and so on (with a total value of nearly 2 million yuan) to local frontline medical workers, people's police officers, traffic police officers, community workers and other frontline grassroots workers. All these actions represent our tribute to them who safeguard our lives and wellbeing.

Helenbergh’s efforts in COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control

In the people’s war against the pandemic, communities and housing  estates serve as important fortresses for pandemic prevention. Helenbergh's frontline service workers are in full swing to fulfill their respective duties.

In addition, starting from Feb. 16, Helenbergh premiered the "online gratuitous medical treatment" on its official WeChat account and 46 WeChat accounts of its regional companies and city branches, and also offered an online open course on "Psychological Counseling for Community Residents During the Pandemic", enabling people to brave the pandemic through our meticulous care.

Shoulder the Corporate Social Responsibility to Contain COVID-19

As a member of Guangzhou-based private enterprises, Helenbergh actively responded to the call of the Party and the government, vigorously involved in the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, and made outstanding contributions to such efforts alongside with peers in philanthropic donations, material supply, scientific research breakthroughs, resumption of work and production, voluntary service, etc.

Moreover, on Jul. 30, Helenbergh, along with a slew of Guangdong-based excellent private enterprises in their efforts to fight against COVID-19, was honored by Guangdong Federation of Industry & Commerce (General Chamber of Commerce) as the "Private Enterprise with Outstanding Contribution to Guangdong’s Efforts in the War Against COVID-19", for its real deeds in supporting the fight against the pandemic, demonstrating the vitality and responsibility of private enterprises.
