In order to better help tea farmers to grow and produce tea and increase the yield and income, Helenbergh has invited tea experts to offer comprehensive technical guidance from tea planting to production. Helenbergh has formed in-depth cooperation with the Tea Research Institute of Guangdong Province Academy of Agricultural Science. At the mention of the role of enterprises and experts in offering technical support in the rural areas, Li Zhigang, an assistant researcher with the Tea Research Institute of Guangdong Province Academy of Agricultural Science, said, the aforesaid Tea Research Institute and Helenbergh had signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement for the high-quality development of tea industry to boost the Liannan’s tea industry to embark on a fast track supported by science and technology.
According to the relevant principal of Helenbergh, in the 2021 Liannan spring tea’s first picking festival activities, as a supporting enterprise, Helenbergh set up a stall at the site to purchase fresh tea leaves. It purchased 7,500 kg of fresh tea leaves from the farmers to help them create an income of about 375,000 yuan. With an annual purchase of about 2,500 kg of dried tea, it has worked with and led more than 50 farmers, while the farmer households’ annual income has increased by above one million yuan. Besides, in order to further increase the scale of Liannan’s tea industry, in October 2021, Helenbergh cooperated with Liannan Yao People Autonomous County Bapai Yaoshan Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. to build a provincial modern agricultural industrial park of tea fungus at Liannan County. The park occupies 2,000 mu. It’s expected that after its completion, it can have a harvest up to 0.60 million kg, with an annual output value up to 12 million yuan.
